We are learning how to write descriptions.
Here are some of our descriptions about a moment in time - Waking up in the morning.
In the Morning.
I want to stay here forever! I hear my sister walk down the hallway. Then my dog comes running down the hall and jumps on my bed. It really hurts! I hear the geese honking above my house it is really loud. I can hear the wind howling outside my window. My bed is warm and snuggly and sometimes it's hot. I see grey puffy clouds and the trees are tilting to the left because the wind is so strong.

Morning.
I can hear my mum shouting, "get out of bed Georgia". I can see the sunshine sneak into my bedroom through my bedroom window. I can feel my fluffy cuddly pillow and also I can feel my very, very, very warm snuggly teddy toys.

Morning
I hear mum shout, "Wake up, time to get up". I can see my little brother wake up too.

Morning
In the morning I never want to get up. I can hear my mum yelling at me. I pull my sheets up over my head. Then I see my door open and I see my Mum.

If we think of our signpost (success criteria) how have these writers been successful in writing a description?

Stand up speak out celebration.
Passionate poets.
Well done Aiden, Ethan and Chloe. It takes a lot of guts to stand up in front of a large audience and speak. You all did really well to remember your poems off by heart. Awesome effort!!
